I'll be taking apart my headlights whenever my nightshades can arrives. I want to install some demon eyes and tint my amber sidemarker. While I was reading through the demon eyes DIY, I got a neat idea: color match the lense housing to my car! I'm talking about the sparkly black housing that holds the headlight lenses and the sidemarker. has anyone done this before? If you have, I'd like to see pictures.

the only thing is that when you turn on your angel eyes with a painted housing, the light is going to reflect and you cant see the "ring" very well....its better to stay with the flat black to see the rings.....

 

hmmmm.... how would painting all but the circles underneith the lenses. how'd you think that would look?

 

 

^^^VERY nice retrofit. The color matching looks dead on and really adds to the look of the car. The side markers look very futuristic.

 

i wouldnt do it. black housing looks more better. if anything, i would blacken out the eyelid portion

 

Maximus your lights look so nice.. wish you would produce/sell sets to people. i'd buy!!

 

yea, on a dark car like FM or BSP, black housing looks better. but i like how it looks on the silver. its not really color matched. i didn't use toyota paint or anything. I just used a silver aluminum spray paint that looked close. it came out pretty nice for $5.
