Painting SCION emblem on my tC
This probably has been asked a million times but I Searched the threads and couldn't find anything.
I debaged my tC and now I'm planing to paint the emblems Black, what paint should I use, should I use primer and sand it too???

this is my first time doing this kind of mod so i think it came out pretty good

it came out "okay", but it's not gonna last long without the right prep work... that means using primer... you should also use clear to protect it... if you're going for the flat black look, then use a flat clear, otherwise, they will chip after a few car washes no matter how careful you are... a lot of us have been there and done that... why would you want to make the same mistakes that some of us ( including myself) have made???
Bringing this thread from the dead... It's been almost 2 months since I painted and installed the emblems on my car. I followed your advices and added 4-5 coats of clear. Came out really nice, no peeling or cracking whatsoever. Thks
I took my tC emblem off and the protected paint under the emblem was significantly different from the surrounding paint. Guess that is expected after 5+ years of owning the car and realizing this is something I wanted to do. Sooooo, I am going to paint my emblems black like lots of peeps have done. Boredom can get a man in trouble.
