What do you guys use to paint your emblems? I've seen people do it with plastidip but I'm looking for something permanent in matte black.

 

Duplicolor or Rustoleum paint will do (Autozone/ Autoparts or Homedepot).

 

Adhesion Promoter + Krylon Fusion + Krylon Fusion Clear Coat

 

I'm working with chrome emblems so won't I have to sand them down and prime them?

 

No matter what you're working with - it's always better to sand them down and prime them. But if you just use adhesion promoter it'll be fine.. since it's such a small project

 

I'll have a lot of time this spring break so I'll spend my time perfecting them.

 

Just remember it's still just plastic. Use a fine grit paper to wet sand and be gentle. It's easy to end up with sanding scratches that will show thru the paint on plastic. Try to paint them without sanding first.
