Im trying to pick the brightest bulbs for parking lights. . .
which kind would you guys suggest for regular wedge bulb, not LEDs

and whats the difference b/w

168/194 PIAA extreme white
168/194 PIAA super plasma gt-x
and
168/194 PIAA super white

 

if you were to choose between those, i'd get the extreme white ones. i have extreme whites on my low and fogs.

 

are they bright? For how long do you have them?

www.autolumination.com sells incandescent (beacuse LEDs burn up) for cheap. I have red ones.

 

wow, so that is a shot of those tiny little bulbs in the headlight under the low beam only? that is bright, but how do you replace those little suckers? do you have to take the whole headlight out to get at them?

 

wrong! that is the park light with the low beam on. you dont need to take out the whole headlight. its just plug and play. you take out the bulb and you replace then plug it back in. simple. hah!

 

Um . Are you sure you are only showing the wedge ? Looks like the lows are on and HOW did you put a 194 wedge in your fogs ? I cannot believe noone asked this .

 

huh? i just said those are my low beam headlight bulbs and fog lights which are piaa extreme white plus 9006. those aren't only the park lights. misunderstanding here.

 

Interesting that the OP wanted to know about the 194 parking lights . Glad you helped that person . I do not see how that helps as the parking lights cannot be seen . I do not really care as I have my own . Just curious as to why your beams are on when the OP only asked about the parking lights . Glad everyone is straight . You guys blow my mind . I changed my low beams a log time ago. . .i have silverstars ultra (9005) which are great.
The reason for changing out the parking light is cuz it gives yellowish output when low beans are on. And also when your driving with just parking light on during the day, super white ones look much better.

 

p.s. the pics helped anyway cuz i saw that the light (compared to stock) was much brighter . . . .no matter which lamp it is, it means it'll be an improvement for the parking light as well..

 

I got the polarg hyper white on my parking lights and they look good. Costed me 9 dlls at the toyota dealer and they give a pure white light.
