Default Pictures of Wiper Default Position

Hey, I need someone to please post a picture of their tC's wiper in the default position, because when I got my car lowered, the guy who did it had to remove it and when he went back to put it on, he messed it up and so now I have it in a weird position and it doesn't look right. Thanks!

Why did he have to remove your wipers to lower your car?

Anyway they should be all the way down, its in your owners manual, there are two positions, one default and the other is for snow/ice, that is pushed up slightly for the snow/ice position.

i have no idea and i asked myself that question too. i know they have to pop open the cover to expose the bolts for the windshield wipers, because somehow, it is connected to the front area (strut?) where they need to access it. i don't know... but in the instruction booklet for my springs, it did say remove those covers, but never did it say anything about removing the actual wipers itself.

actually if you look at the windshield. you'll see two dots on the lower left side (passenger) of the windshield.. those are the alignment dots for the wipers.. just align it there and you'll be all set take a close look and you'll see them

At least you now know not to have that guy work on your car again. Anyone not knowledgeable or caring enough to make that right, shouldn't be working on anyone's car, imo.

the wipers might just be in the snow position. after in snowed in Atlanta (once) I was like damn my wipers are f'ed up now...but then after reading on here I just applied some force on the wipers and they popped back in to position..if that's the problem it takes more force to put them back in position then expected
Hope this helps!

yeah, that actually happened to me. i had my hood open and accidentally pushed up on it too much and it hit the left wiper (they were up b/c i was cleaining), and caused it to go into snow position. then for the rest of the day it bugged me to see my wipers off the black portion of the windshield, so i decided to pull down on them to see if they would pop back. and they did. its kinda scary if youve never done it before becuase it does require a lot of force like English said.

so all you have to do is push down on them with some force and they should "pop" back in to default position, if that's what's wrong with your wipers, again, it will take more force than expected. I thought mine were going to snap before they moved

well, thing was...before we moved it off the black portion, it was kinda on the original position, but when i tried to wipe off some leaves using the wipers...it only went 80% of the way. thats how i noticed that something was wrong with the wipers. I'll def try this tomorrow.
