Is the piece of plastic below front bumper nessacary to have on the car. Im not sure if it is ther to protect the engine and since i had a recent runin with a deer last night I was just wondering if I should look to replace it or if I leave it go no harm will be done...


If you don't know what im talking about its the underbody black plastic that can be removed by taking a couple bolts screws and snappy things off.

 

I wouldn't want to be without it. It prevents road debris from flying up into the engine compartment. It also keeps water out of there. I heard it also improves fuel economy slightly by streamlining the airflow down there. Makes sense.

 

any idea's where i could get a new one?
