Default Please Help: Possible Body Defect

A friend and I have noticed a dent on both sides of our cars directly above the rear wheels. The dent is verticle, going over the body line/crease. It is in about the same spot on both sides on both of our cars.

I never noticed it before yesterday and he only noticed one side unil I mentioned I have 2 to him.
Does anybody else have it? It does take a little to see, but it is very noticable at the right angle in better lighting.

Also, I am interested if you have unmodified or modified suspensions. Reason is I have the S-techs and so does he. I have 17K on it, he has 9K.

Thanks to everyone in advance for their help.

Wow! There's more that 5 case on this. I'm the 6th here.
I noticed that same flaw on my passenger rear qtr panal. I was buggin' because I thought for sure that somebody opened their door into my car.
I also have Tein S-Tech springs. Hope that didn't cause my rear qtr panal to buckle a little. I'll have to recheck my rear alignment sometime.
I'll be watchin' this subject.

There is now a total of 7 cases, and so far, I am interested to see if it is contributed to the Tein Springs.
Out of the seven, I have 4 people with the S-techs.

MJVsTC and bzr do you have anything on your suspension modified?

Also, I will visit several area dealerships to see if the just arrived tC's have these lines as well.

I know I have the headlight thing but not so sure about the dent. I always try to push the light back in but it doesn't budge.

Dude, the body panels are off on most tC's if you look real close. You can fix the headlight prob by loosening the passenger side fender and adjusting it to the headlight. Or, if you're feeling agressive, you can re-align the headlight if you remove the front bumper. This will leave a slightly larger gap under the passenger headlight.

The gap under the headlights is normal. It drove me bonkers after I took the front bumper off and re-installed. But it's normal, it's on almost all tC's from certain angles.

My entire hatch is mis-aligned. The gap is like 1/8 inch on one side, and 1/4 inch on the other.

The trouble with fixing stuff like that is, you can have the dealership take it to a body shop and fix it. BUT, once you move a panel, you have to move ALL the panels near it to make it fit right.

Sort of like a Rubex Cube.

You can get all the panels lined up nice and straight and even, but chances are the dealership bodyshop will dent, chip, or break something in the process.

Trust me on this. I've had almost a 800.00 of interior parts replaced, then re-replaced, because a dealership gouged up my center console pretty badly. I had it fixed under warranty.

Took me three months, three trips to the same dealership, and a trip to another dealership to get it done right.

My advice to you guys is, if these body problems bother you, go get a Dent Puller suction cup from your local auto parts store, and pull the dent yourself after washing the car.

Or, you could have your dealership have a mobile dent repair guy remove it. Just watch them while they do it, or you may end up with more body damage.

i noticed a vertical dent above my front wheel well (right on that body line) on the DRIVERS side when i was waxing my car yesterday. its driving me crazy! and also my bumper seems to 'hang' a little under the driver headlight. either that or the light looks to be pushed in a little more than the other side.. i didnt hit anything and im pretty sure i didnt get hit either because i always park far away from others. i kind of think that the dent on top of the wheel well could be from someone leaning against my car. but..theyd have to be pushing real hard or something..

I have totally stock suspension and I have had the imperfection since day one. Only I know it's there though, so I don't care.
