well stillmotion I hope you are stillalive. very good point on the mask, and also cover the eyes. My manufacturing lab prof. literaly lost one eye because of a metal chip. So PLEASE everybody wear glasses when using the dremel.
OK then how is it going stillmotion?

So you can do this to the alphawerks header? If so I might do this to mine before selling it, it's starting to have rust.

Yes, it's the same process just different materials but the results are as good. I'm no polishing mine yet, they are still shiny.

i would just rub them down really well with rubbing alcohol. it has always seemed to clean headers up for me in the past. i did it every 2 weeks

So how did u get into the small cracks where the plugs and oil cap are? Is that with the first posted dremel bit?

You guys prolly knew this already but if you wanted to paint your the top of the engine block if you sand it down first like this it will look way better than non-sanded! Hmmm

I'm just gonna do polished for now... Scion expo is about 1 week away!

i hope you all know that a wire brush will scracth the hell out of your valve cover. i can see the scratches in the pics. i took the whole thing off, used a cloth bit on a modified skill saw with some top secret stuff from my friends performance shop. looks like glass.

good luck though

Is it hard to remove or put back on? Is there any gaskets or torquing? I want to do this to mine but don't want to do it when it's on.
