Yes, the lip must be cut. I wouldn't say it's hard, but you definitely need to take your time, or you risk messing it up big time. I cut too little the first time to be safe, then just trimmed it and kept test fitting it until it was perfect. Thanks for the comment Dakine

 

if i get vrg fods the water could get in to my Cold air intake easier?

 

The gaps around the fogs really aren't significant enough to affect your CAI. Even then, if any water droplets somehow made it inside your CAI, they would probably evaporate before reaching your intake manifold. You will still need to avoid standing water, just as you do now.

 

You would have to drive though like 2 1/2 feet of standing water for your intake to be affected. And the fogs cover up the hole just like the little black plastic piece does...probably better

nah bro i got yellow bulbs in there cuz the cut off was horrible with hids
