The only thing i don't like about the lip spoiler is the sides. From the side it doesn't really flow with the rest of the rear end in my opinion. Looking straight at it (facing the trunk) it looks great, but not the sides.

I'd like to see someone custom make a lip spoiler where its actually molded to the trunk itself. That way it just comes out a little bit from the actual trunk, it would look really smooth, flow extremely well if done right. Thats just my 02. cents though.

Taek, this thread will get longer. Don't worry.

I recieved my wing almost 2 weeks ago and it looked like an exagerated version of that (really really wavy). I contacted Viniati and Chris said it was way out of shape so he sent me a new one. It is sitting at my house and I am out of town until Jan 4 so I don't know what it looks like.

The short answer to your questions is no, it should not look like that.

what the hell. please let me know what your new one look like when you get a chance. this is my first time buying an aftermarket wing and viniati told me that its normal for fiberglass parts to have blemishes. i'd be really ____ed off if I was sent a defective part and viniati tried to play it off as if nothing is out of the ordinary. This wing costed me over $500, painting was $300 already.

others that has already received the wing, please chim in if your wing has the waves across the top.

thanks

Viniati is a good company, they are not going to try and "play you". Its common that fiberglass products will have some sort of blemish in areas, you can wax and buff it out. Thats different than what you view above with the ripples.

Correct. If its not something that can be polished, or buffed with wax, its not supposed to be there.

mine has waves and blemishes too. dude dont be a b!tch and whine all over the forums and blame it on the company that brought you this product. remember you love viniati cuz they producted the spoiler before TRF

and also, ALL fiberglass parts are wavy, its almost rare to not find fiberglass products to not have waves. i think the only company not to expect waves from is freaking cwest okay. and we all know there isnt really a company in the scion community thats as good as cwest .. YET.

viniati..you'll get there

and also, ti is the bodyshops fault that they werent careful enogh to get rid of the waves and blemishes. so if yours is painted and it still have waves. go yell at your faulty bodyshop, not viniati.'

There are few fiberglass parts that do not have waves in them. Each part can be different because they are formed inside different molds. If you are uncomfortable with your piant work, take it back to your paint shop and show them the waves. That is a part of the prep work before paint. I have brought this issue up to the manufact. I have word that that is perfectly normal. If they were extreme hills and valleys in the product, that would be an issue of defect. Yours just shows lack of effort by your shop to get your wing right.

- Be frustrated with them, and if you want, have them contact me, I'll tell them whats what.

Well I also had waves on my wing, but nothin that i'm gonna worry about. I knew they were there before my friend painted it for me. I'm just gonna get it fixed when I get my bodykit and have everything done then. But other then that, I love the wing and the way it looks. OH YEA, I got a hold of a Digicam at work so I took some quick pics of it. I did park it in our "gravel lot" kind of our bullpen to store cars, so I edited a couple of the pics and tried to take away the ugle background a bit. Well here's my car so far.

taek relax, no one is b!tching from what I can see. It was just a question that I asked. I also requested a picture of this spolier with a IIP (thats the color I have and would like to see how it would look on my car). You were the first one to bring us pictures and a lot of people are greatful for it. I am still deciding on the spolier and I know tha Viniati is a great company. I mean just look at his dedication in responding to people. Most of the days he responds within hours, also I pm'ed the guy who said that he received a spolier like that and he told me that Viniati is sending him a new one, so it goes to show you what kind of class Viniati has. Anyway, I was the person who intially brought up the question because I was wondering so I hope you dont' have a problem with that. This is a forum where you are suppose to ask questions, not start flipping out because people ask legitimate questions.

Why do you say that? Most people do not flame people for legitimate questions, now if it were a noob question I could understand. I lurked this board for a while before I even registered, and I view this board several times a day, I'm no Vet on this board, but I certainly know what is going on.

lol, you might want to lurke some more bro, there is and always will be a ton of bashing on this site, and i quite frankly am getting sick of it. everyone thinks X's car is better than Y's car just because of door sills, its just stupid and retarded. this site has just gone down hill.
