btw...you can get that primer from any automotive paint shop. i'm not sure how to strip clear but since you are looking for a DIY job here then i'm sure a good light sanding would be enough to get the new stuff to stick. especially since it's primer. get a decent paint spray gun and an air compressor and then it just a matter of masking and spraying. test out your gun and PSI on something other than your car first so you can get the spray right. and yes please do post before and after pics and during if you can. i don't agree with it but i would like to see it. to each his own

my opinion?? Dont ruin it with an unfinished looking paint job. My experience in people trying to pull off the flat black primered look is no matter how professional it is done, it still looks like the person couldnt afford a good paint job.

But its your car so good luck and post pictures.

ive read the same article, though i think it was from scc, not super street. they did the whole thing in somebody's garage.

on a side note, from my own experience, it is much easier to get an even finish when you use flat paint, as opposed to a gloss. so if youre good with paint, try it yourself. just do like a fender and if its nasty, have a pro do it...good luck though

Well I cant afford a good paint job so I think the primered look would go good with me lol. But damn I think that skyline is hot! Im gonna try this on my front lip first and see how it goes, if it doesnt work out too well then I'll consider having a pro do it. Then, if its too expensive, Ill just have them paint the front lip back to normal.

I wish I could find that guy's pics... you may be nice and message him and ask him about it and maybe he'll help you out with a pic from his experience, but it's pretty dissapointing really....
