Problem with debris melting on rear bumper of the car?
I was cleaning my car and noticed (crap) something like plastic or tar melted on the rear bumper of the tc. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?
IT looks like tar or some kind of garbage that dried on the back of the rear bumper, I have tge same stuff on the camry too. It seems like I drived over some kind of sludge and it dried on the bumper.
Oh man, not this again. It comes from planes... no, wait, it's bee poop... no, it's road tar... wait, maybe it's tree sap.
Do you live near a peanut butter factory? Maybe it's dried peanut butter. Do you live near a morgue? Maybe it's blood.

I dont have it, but I think I know what you are talking about,
a friend of mine has it on his mini cooper, I think its result of not properly cleaning your car, and all the debri has become permanently baked into the paint.
you should wash your car more often.

if it's tar.. just clean it off.. it might take some effort.. but whatever..
as far as something actually melting to your bumper... unless you drove right into hot tar (which is unlikely).. i can't imagine anything else really happening that you can't clean off.
unless neglect came into play and some of that stuff has actually baked into the paint... but unless it's like bird poo where it's acidic.. it shouldn't do any crazy permanent damage.
