Default question about headlights

Ok, could someone help me a lot here, i have been wanting blue bulbs in my headlights but i have a few questions. What are all of the different lights you have in your headlights if you understand what im saying. What different ones could i get that would be colored, where could i get them, how much do they cost and what is legal and whats not. I know a couple things like theres parking lights, headlights but i dont know more than that and what is what.

Thanks a lot in advance if anyone helps

ummm, their are a couple of choices that you have. first thing you can do is get some sylvania silverstars that are hyperwhite. the second thing is that you can get some luminics bulbs which basically come in a couple of colors... violet, blue, yellow, and white. the third thing is an H.I.D kit, which comes in multiple colors, and it is up to you however it is the most expenive option. what i would do is save some money, go on HIPLANET.COM and get a REAL hid kit with projectors. this will be the best lighting that you can get. i prefer to get an 8000k kit, because they are brighter than stock, light up very nicely, and they have a slight purple tint to them so people know that you have them.

If you're on a budget, get SilverStars. A pair will run you $37. Makes a BIG difference over stock. That's what I have. I then added green LEDS to the parking lights. About $3 at AutoZone. With the headlights on, you can't even see the green. But with only the parking lights on, its green alright! I finished my look by adding PIAA Mirror Org. signal turning bulbs. Those cost around $30. I like my set up very much! For a little more than $107, it was well worth it. If money is no problem, knock yourself out and get a HID kit.

do you really have to worry about the bulbs burning out any faster than the stock ones?
