hey .. i was wondering how necessary the replacement struts are for the rear hatch? ... i picked up my spoiler and its really not that heavy .. im wonderin if the hatch would stay up w/ the wing on w/ the original struts .. figure i can save some $ on install ... thanks for the info .... btw, i picked it up from http://www.trdsparks.com for $267 +install kit and shipping ... and it shipped very fast .. i was impressed ..

 

you dont need it stock struts are fine

i had the pedestal spoiler installed and i have no problems with the stock lift gate struts ... so .. FYI .. anyone installin the spoiler .. ***no need to change the stock ones***
