Default rear hatch

after a rain storm when i go to open my trunk, if i open it up too fast then water splashes all over my trunk. there are run off things on the side but it seems to miss that and just go straight for the trunk. i hat opening my trunk slow cause im always in a rush, but i dont want water to get in there and possibly create mildew. doe snayone have this problem and if you do how can you fix it?

Wake up 10 mins earlier, then you won't be in a rush all the time.

Seriously, I don't think there is much you can do other than opening the hatch slowly.

i have the same problem. Just carry a rag with you and get some of the water off the side of the hatch so when you open it, water doesn't run so much into the car.

^^True. Carry a couple of microfiber cloths in the hatch when it's going to be a rainy day/night.

You still have to open the hatch slowly though to put the cloths in place.

i noticed that the inside of my car gets wet when i drive around in the rain with my windows down and sun roof open, am i the only one to notice this? is it a problem? will mildew make my car smell like a moldy gym sock forgotten in the bottm of a locker at a high school? why couldn't toyota come up with a way to engineer a solution for this kind of problem?
