I have been doing some research on the forums and have found no definite answer so I apologize if this is a topic that is constantly brought up or in the wrong sub-forum.


I have an 05 tC with OEM reflector headlights but I want to upgrade to OEM projector headlights ('08-'10.)

Is it a straight swap or are the wiring harnesses different? Would simple splicing of wires do the trick or is there more to it? Anyone have experience with this project? Thanks in advance.

 

I did this upgrade when I did my retrofit. The 05 tC headlights are 9006 bulbs for low beams, and the 08-10 tC headlights are H11. You'll need to either splice the wires (like you stated) or, do what I did, and just get an adapter.
