Default Removing the antenna? WHERE???

How do you do this? I know the removal says something about the fender. Its it inside the car or under the fender wall.

Im thinking of removing the antenna permanently. Will there be a hole left? Problem is, I have to remove the damn antenna everytime I put my car cover on! I haven't used it yet though.

I never use my radio, so I might as well remove the antenna and throw it in my glove. What do you guys think?

OH, BTW, just finished the install of the TRD Exhaust. SWEEEETT!!!!

you can unscrew the attenna by hand, just twist to the left comes right off, and yes there is a hole. hehe if this is not what you meant, then sorry.

Im thinking of just leaving the attenna off the car. Hmm. Wonder what I can do about that hole! LOL Water might sit in it!

Are you talking about simply unscrewing the antenna or removing the antenna along with the whole female threaded base attached to the car?
Just 26 or 26 to29?

Just 26. I want to use the car cover daily until I can garage it. right now Im stayin in a condo while our house in under contruction. While Im building my home, I still want to protect the car from the elements. problem is, I have to take of the antenna everytime I place the cover on. So I was thinking, since I just play MP3's all the time, i can just remove the attenna from the car and put it in the glove if I ever decide to use it.

The manual for your car cover says you can cut a hole in the car cover where the antennae goes and they give you a grommet to keep the hole from expanding and making it look stock, what you do is put the cover on your car with the antenna off, mark the spot of the antenna with a pen dot where the antenna would be with the car cover on properly, and cut an "X" into the fabric, I put my car cover on every day and never take off my antenna. The grommet would need to be glued shut though, it doesn't like to stay clasped.

yeah, I have the grommet, but the last time I cut a hole for something similar, I tore the damn thing. I have bad luck with that kind of stuff.

Just replace the antenna with a stubby Honda S2000 antenna. You get better reception and it is only like 6 inches long, you probably would not even have to cut a hole then, and if you did, at least you would have a really sporty looking antenna!

yes, the mast (part 26 from nycazn79's photo above) unscrews easily. when i replaced mine with the s2000 mast it came off by hand twisting it.

the problem is that the tc hater who broke off my antenna broke it off at the base. So, the bottom part of the screw is still lodged in the base. I need to actually remove the whole antenna to remove the broken screw. Do I need to remove my factory installed sub to get to the antenna?
