Default Replacing the Taillight/Brakelight Bulb

My right tailight/brakelight was burnt out.

So I went into Toyota of Riverside Service department and asked them how much and how long to change the bulb. They said they've never changed a tailight bulb on a tC. They told me I have to leave the car there for 2 1/2 hours and it would cost me $30-40 bucks of labor.

I decided to go into the parts department, buy the bulb for $7.00 ($2-3 dollars more than wholesale). After 15 minutes of poking around, my taillight worked again. First time changing the tailight for me so it took a bit longer. But next time it burns out, it should take me 5 minutes to change since I found that you really don't need any tools.

good job.

Don't you hate the dealerships? The only reason I take mine to a dealership is if
a) the car is still under warranty
b) I have been ever where elese and have done everything in my power to not go to the dealership... yet, they are the only ones who can do the work (which doesn't happen too often).

I really hate dealerships.

Actually, for routine maintenance and oil changes, the dealer I always visit have been quite fair. Longo Toyota is where I bought my car and I have all the records of service that they've performed. Good for resale value.
