When you go to replace the taillight on tbe TC, do you have to take off the whole back bumper? Also if so how hard is it to do?

 

no.. just the panel behind the tail light i think (in the trunk). I think u have to start removing the plastic panel where the hatch door latches when you close it.

 

uh.. you don't need to remove that plastic panel where the door latches... no..

i just took out the screws that hold onto the bumper at the top, and then two screws under the fender that hold the bumper in place at the sides.. i didn't take off the bottom two fasteners holding the bumper in... you can just pull the bumper out far enough without having to remove it completely.

 

You have to unscrew several pieces of the bumper and pull it halfway off.

Here's a pdf file with the TYC taillight install and tells you everything to do to remove and install taillghts. I switched my stock lights with niteshaded lights in about 15mins at 10pm a month ago. It's not hard at all.
