Default Reverse LEDs

so i bought some LEDs for my reverse lights expecting some difference
on my visibility than the stock bulbs.
and honestly, i see more with the stock bulbs than the LEDs.
i was wondering if anyone can help me on purchasing
the BRIGHTEST of the BRIGHTEST LED
out there for the reverse lights?
thx!

in addition to what ^ said...

halogens get alot brighter, and itll take ALOT of LEDs or new LED technology to get as bright.

why it does that is because the reflector housing isn't designed for led "bulbs"

anyone could've told you that before you wasted your money on those you bought..

I have thought of doing this but ended up not doing it because it's not really worth it.

i dont drive in reverse often but when i do its pretty difficult to see through my illegal tint.
and besides where i live, there isnt any street lights
so i want to make sure i wont hit the curb or konck over a trash can thats completely full.
it even got to the point that i almost hit my neighbors PARKED car driving in reverse
and i know the housing for the reverse are not made for leds but i juss thought it would be atleast a little brighter, oh well! and as far as "wasting" my money...IT WAS ONLY ABOUT $6!! i wasnt gonna go bankrupt for $6

yeah, led's produce about 1/8th of what the halogens do.. LED"s are sweet, believe me, but they arent for every location.... 4 of these would be close to halogen output: http://www.besthongkong.com/product_...3ea4f2ff7b2f0b

i've seen those as i lit them up for my buddy.. yeeouza

hey magyver...
are u talking about the 80mA 5mm High Power White Piranha 100 Degree?
sorry if this is a stupid question, but does it fit for the reverse lights?
as in the size of the socket where it connects?

yeah those are the bad boys, BUT, if u used those, it would have to be custom. youd have to solder and build your own circuit.. nothing direct replacment/swap... all custom..

as for the fog led's, there custom as well.. search for "LED fogs" and begin to learn!

yup question seems answered, less output but more visible to people looking at your car. Tints suck for driving sometimes. use your brake lights as added lighting, install a cam, look around your car before backing up..
