Default RS1 style front lip help.

I recently bought this front lip from ebay. Today I tried a fitment test, and the fitting was horrible. Has anyone on here experienced this? I noticed the middle area which rests on the oem bumper is wider in width but shorter in length.

You have to either remove the grill or take a dremel to the center peice and make it way more shallow in order for it to fit correctly. That's your problem because I had the same issue.

Yes I got these from ebay from xcessmotors. It is not ABS, it is Polyurethane. And not it is not a legit RS1 lip from RacingSolution. Either they sent me a wrong one or the fitting is just way off.

I was thinking of removing the lower grill, but I was expecting the lip to fit well without any modification or adjustment. :?

Did the packaging say 'HU racing' or something like that? If so, its the exact same one that racing solution sells.

If thats the case, you'll have to cut a little bit of the plastic off near the grille so that it can fit nicely. I have done this for 2 tCs and it looks good

I dont think that is an "Authentic" RS1 lip....it should of fitted A LOT better than that.

Should fit like a glove!

Thanks a lot for your inputs, I really appreciate it. First when I bought the lip, I expected it to fit without any modification. Since mod on this one is needed, I went for it. I cut off that center part, and I was able to get it fit right. Thank you all again for the help

Had a chance to take a quick pic :D. Ignore the unmatched side mirrors. I'm going to finish the other side soon.
