Default Running with no splash shield safe?

I dont have a CAI or anything but my splash shield thats right under the engine is all messed up from taking my bumper on and off so many times which also has the OEM lip kit on it. Just wondering if its safe to drive the car without it and not have any bad long term effects with it off. sometimes i thought i aligned the holes from connecting all the shields and stuff together to find out the screws came out loose and disconnected. now when i hit bumps or something i can hear it scrape on the road.

Shouldn't really have problem except for getting dirty a lot faster. Maybe be alittle more cautious around puddles but it would take a lot of water to get up to the stock intake.

why don't you fix it with zip-ties? They're def lifesavers and they don't come loose ! But yea you shouldn't have any problems running bottom-less

i ran my 91 accord for years with no splash guard. the only problem i had was after going through a big puddle the belt would squeek and lights would dim untill it caught again. this was mostly solved by tightening the belt.

my splash gaurd is messed up also! i used zip ties and it just came off after hittin the highway. i want the carbon spliiter! im wondering if that will work as a good splash gaurd instead of replacing those annoying plastics.

also, id def recommend taking it completely off vs. running one thats kinda magled. i hacked mine apart because my car was so low and i need the clearance for the wheels.

however, only leaving sections of it on kinda came back to haunt me, i was on the highway when i heard a really weird noise, so i pulled over and found that part of my fender liner had popped off and wrapped around my axle.

no tools, on the side of the highway, trying to untangle a fender liner from an axle = no fun, haha.

same thing happened to me 2. i started hearing a bad noise near ma wheel and a burning smell. i pulled over. it was the freakin covers again. i got so ____ed off! lol so then i just pulled the annoying crap off and messed it up more. mine is really messed up rite now. i jus dont want to take it all off cuz im afraid my fogs will burn out when raining. happened once already. so ill either just get the carbon splitter or new plastics

My fender liner came off on the highway lol I managed to get it back but never bothered to put it back on..I've actually been wondering the same thing about the splash guard cause it's kind of annoying me...it's the only thing that scrapes and I hate that sound lol

i have no fender liners or splash gaurds.
no problems for about a year now.

just make sure when you wash your car you get it pretty good up in the wheel well so that dirt as dust doesnt build up on your struts.

what about the intake? isnt exposed to water if you were driving in the rain cause the stock tube for the intake is right above the fender liner. also i was planning on getting an aftermarket short ram.

the intake will be fine, and a short ram will be fine also, short rams dont go down into the fender.
