I guess the thing to do these days is get one but whats the deal? Is the reception better? Where does the old one go!? and does it just stick on !? These are probably stupid questions but can someone please help me out...?

 

Literally unscrew stock antenna and screw on s2000 antenna. The reception isnt as good but looks a lot better. Theyre about $25 from your local honda dealer.

 

I think the reception is the same between the two. not better, not worse. Love the look of the s2000 antenna.

 

Hmmm...my reception actually got BETTER with the S2K Antenna. The look is also a big +! Be careful about getting yours from a Honda Dealer! The mark-up is getting bad.

I don't even know if my reception has gotten better or worse. I haven't used the radio in a long time.

 

reception stayed the same. not change at all and the look of the s2000 antenna is much better.

Get some green loc-tite from your local hardware store. it will take a blow torch to get it off after that.

if this is going to be a permanent fixture put a little thread lock on it when you thread it on since then #2 hasn't been stolen yet

the deal is that the OEM antenna looks like a friggin' horse whip. Funny, I never noticed this ugly antenna until I got my TC, and then I noticed that tons of cars you see on the road have that thing (like Volkswagens have the same antenna).

I dunno...it just seems stupid to have this long thing flapping in the air. I mean, cars should either come with a retractable antenna, or they should come with the shortest one that can be made.

Anyway, of you can't find an S2000 antenna, the Honda Element antenna is the same exact thing and looks good.

 

does the car look ugly with no antenna? cause i just realized... i don't really need it... i love my mp3 player. ^_^

 

sorry if this is off topic, but i was wondering do anybody know where i can get like a inside antenna or something? ima shave off the antenna mount and try to find something that i can put inside.. or not use the radio at all because i mostly listen to cds..
