Default Smoked Light Cover Overlays info. needed

I would appreciate any of you TC owners who have Smoked overlays on your light covers, to share some photos, and where you have purchased them. This is something i am thinking on getting for my rear tail lights, third brake light, side mirror light, and front parking light.

I have overlays on everything but my tails (b/c I tried, and they're way more of a PITA than any of the others). All of the ones I have are from bluebatmobile.

Smoked mirror signals, smoked side markers and silver eyelids:

Redout 3rd brake light overlay (an older pic, but you get the idea):

I'd actually like to get my tails smoked too, but I'm not going to try overlays there again... I'd have them done professionally if anything. But a lot of people have tinted their tails with overlays without too much trouble. I just couldn't do it for some reason.

I'm guessing Orange County, CA as opposed to the other Orange Counties, like NY, FL, IN, NC, and VA, or County of Orange, TX .

It's a lot easier to put them on with two people, lots of soapy water, squeegee/credit card, and a hair dryer. It requires lots of patience too. Wish ya luck putting them on though.
Bat made some custom overlays for me and I hope to have them on before next weekend.

not all of the tint shops know how to do it. The material is a little different (thicker) and there are bigger curves on tail lights. Some might be able to do it though.

Ya, the one decent tint place around here had no clue what was going on with them. They tried the tails and did worse than I did by myself.

Exactly! make sure the place you get them installed has experience with vinyl overlays, not just window tint! 2 diffeent materials altogether!

Usually if a body shop is smoking tails (properly), they should be removing the tails and then PAINTING them with some smoke color or something to that effect. I don't think most decent places would use overlays.

Check out jonstintedtails.com for I mean. He does them that way and they come out sexy.
