im getting my tails smoked tomorrow and i wanted to know the method used to get that glossy look because the guy said it normally comes out matte. suggestions?

 

There is only one way I have found to get the glossy look, and he keeps his secrets on how he does it.... that's www.jonstintedtails.com I've tried body shops, overlays and diy nightshades and none of them got the glossyness that I found there... just a bummer...

 

^^ and i've seem tim's crazy gloss on his tails.....

not even a nice clearcoat over nightshades can bring out the same gloss and cleanliness

whatever clearcoat they have... is yeah.... niicccccce

 

the only prbolem i have with him is that to do the tails the way i want, he said it would cost me like 160 bucks... and that's with using my stock tails!

sigh... someone doesnt want me having tinted tails

i know, but sheesh, that's alot.

i just wanted the reverse lenses tinted red, then the whole thing tinted with a LIGHT shade. I dont want the smoked out look, rather, i want something that gives the tail a deep maroon color.

Mine's a vinyl overlay - that's why it's glossy.
