I have always been so careful about rock chips (obviously can't avoid them all) but I try to stay away from trucks, buses etc. Just yesterday I saw a truck pulling into my lane ahead of me and hit a huge pothole launching rocks and all sorts of debris into the front of my car. I couldn't do anything to avoid it I am so frustrated now. Just wanted to vent a little sorry.

Do a blue tape run, then you can tape the whole front end

 

and then you won't need to worry about any more paint damage... and it'll be a new mod everyone will start doing!!!

as far as rock chips, im just going to wait until i have enough chips and then repaint it putting down a good base and lots of clear.

 

I'm with SATownScion. I have a bunch of chips on my hood bumper and fenders........

 

yeah, im hoping i dont get any rock chips any time soon.

 

I've considered getting a white car in the future so hood chips wouldn't show as much. It kinda hides the salt in the winter too.

 

Rock chips hurt...especially on a black car.

 

i just wish our paint wasn't so horrible... my 05 has wayyyyyy more chips in it than my 95 intrepid did with double the miles

 

paint isnt all that bad, but then again part of owning a car is dealing with it getting chips and scratches, but clear bra's leather bra's etc help
