i want to get strobes for my headlights. has anyone done this? wheres a good place to put them. i was thinking about in my back brake lights. and my front next to my highbeams./ and for the headlights getting luminic headlights or silverstars? and replacing my parking light with a led light posibally a white color?

 

I would say try ledglow.com for the strobes. As for headlights i would suggest upgrading to HIDs, looks much cleaner with the 08+ headlights. For the parking lights go to garage1217.com and get the 194/168 bulbs

I belive anything other than white and amber is illegal. You have to check with the state laws. The systems that the law uses is acctually from their highbeams if im not mistaking. But a good set of strobes is around $150+

 

i suggest you get HIDs because i've gone through lumincs bulbs and they are horrible, sure they look nice from far away but in your view you can't see squat. as for the red parking light yes it looks nice but it's against the law. and if you have the 05-07 headlights then don't get the ones from garage1217 and get other ones that have the heatsink to them because mine burned out. they where from garage1217 and look nice and bright lite up but they burn out because of the heat from the HID bulb which runs cooler than a regular bulb.

 

what about silverstars?

 

the silverstars are ok but just save your money, look in the classifieds-sponsor section for HIDs that are being sold at $60-$80 the set which is really cheap and alot better than just light bulbs.

^so you have them on your car? if so do you have the 05-07 or 08+ headlights with pics of the lights to show the OP before buying them if he decides to.

 

My bulbs have heatsinks on them, however I do not recommend them being used in headlight housings even though countless numbers of people do.

The heat from the headlight bulbs will cause them to burnout faster.

 

Thats only if you have oem/stock/sylvania bulbs right? Its fine with HIDs.

 

Even HIDs can cause them to go out faster, some people put them in and they last awhile, others put them in and they go out fast.
