Um.... this may sound goofy to toss out there...but if you wanted the functional motorized sunroof setup..... why did you go the Spec tC route? ....anywho you already have it... to be honest... it would probably be worth your time and money to have a Toyota/Scion dealer install it. (hoo I hate to use the "D" word (dealer))...but I know that previous years of tC had probs with the sunroof...rattling and the seals.... so it might actually be worth the cost to have it done right. Then you know it wont leak or rattle...as they have all the current TSB's (Toyota Service Bulletins) on the sunroof. and can install it, seal it, and insulate it correctly so it doesnt ____ you off down the road. Just my 2 cents.

gotcha... wasnt bashing you for getting a Spec model....but I would still at least consider the advice I gave earlier and fork over a few bucks to your local Toyota/Scion dealer to have it put in right....and that way the work has a warrenty. Trust me, when it comes to the power sunroof in the tC.... its worth the few bucks for labor... especially since the power sunroof has had a few TSB's in the past. Parting with a few bucks is well worth not having to deal with the headaches later.

well that was just a suggestion.... if you have another good shop that is willing to stand behind their work and its cheaper than going to the dealer... then go for it. I just tossed that idea out there to minimize the headaches and expense later if something goes wrong.

Because the Kaminari roof is one solid piece, therefore, no sunroof, but I'm not gonna do that & have the cutouts in my headliner FOR the sunroof.
