i have a silver streak and Iam having problems with my tails. there is a set of lights out by tyc for 250 which is just to expensive.. so do you guys have any other ideas of what to do?

 

What kind of problems are you having? The TYCs are really the only replacement tails. The only other options would be to smoke yours with overlays or spray... That's about it.

 

well people say that smoking the tails on a silver doesnt look good..whats ur take on it

 

Depends... I think if you're going to smoke them... keep a theme. Smoke your mirror turn signals and your front side markers too. Just carry it from back to front. I think if you ONLY do the tails, it won't look that good.

 

I might buy a set of TYCs, in which case I might sell my OEMs.
I will post if I do it.

no true. a friend of mine (L4rry_B1rd here on scionlife) has a silver tC and he has smoke tails it looks pretty good. i saw his car at a local meet and i was very impressed by it. i also plan on tinting my tails on the 22nd of this month along with my headlights, and my friends tails *also on a silver tC* and maybe my friend garrett (nerek on sl lol) will join in with his BSP.

 

depends on the color scheme you're going with. I've sold alot of my 6/10 tint to people with silver. I also have a lighter 3/10 tint as well .

just looking for a change. there ok now i just want something to stand out. i have a friend who has the tyc lights and i think they look horrid

 

TYC LED lights are cool at night but kinda cheesy lookig during the day, IMO. I saw some TYCs with the top part smoked and it looked decent. I'll see if I can find the picture.

 

I have a couple new Overlays for the TYC lights that I will be releasing in a couple days .

Hey!!! I was that friend! lol! Thems fightin' words! Do you want that logo or not? jk I know you have issues with the TYCs but I do like them. A little shiney but I think the factory ones look horrid so we're even. Can't wait to see the TYC overlays though...very intriguing. Keep me posted on that!

 

you are one of my friends who has the tyc lights. I know somebody who got their scion from bobby rahal and put them on. Like i said i dont like the bubbles in them. If I could change that I would like them more.

 

Everyone has their opinions! I hope you can find something you like! I thought hat dark tint looked pretty good...
