I don't know what I think of it yet... it might look silly on my silver. I'll have to photoshop it on my car. It would make me rethink redding-out the 3rd brake light though

Tamiya smoke spray paint.. you can find it at hobby stores here's a closer pic:

 

I have the tyc's and smoked the top red and orange part. They lok good but dont flow witht the lines of the car to well. I've been thinking of redoing them and leaving the red reflectors showing and just smoking that nasty orange part. If anyone has done this please post the pics.

 

It is annoying that the division between the red and orange is slightly lower than the body crease! Smoking just the orange would probably draw more attention to the odd placement of the line. It seems to me that making the reflector silver with a clear/amber bulb might work the best aesthetically if it's not too blingy.

 

I wanna see those overlays for the TYCs that Bat has!!

 

Yeah your right, but it would definetly be alot closer. I had though of trying to bake open the tails and removing that orange part. I wonder If it would work, any thoughts

the orange part is not orange cuz of the bulb its actually orange!!!!!!!! i was going to put a clear amber bulb and found out that way i was sad for like 2 minutes then hit the PS2

 

Glad you got over the disappointment quickly! Since that orange part is a separate piece, I think that's why we'd have to bake the tail open to remove it. Then your bulbs would work...don't throw them out just yet!

Do it! $200 seems like a deal to me because I'm a sucker and got my TYCs at the dealer when I bought my car... $375. ugh. But before you buy new tails you're going to experiment with my extra stocks right? If that works out cool maybe I'll take them back from you and give you my TYCs. lol

 

I've been thinking about putting my stockers back on. I dunno I guess the newness wore off with the TYC's. Maybe I could sell these since theyre already blacked out. Or maybe I'll just swap them and try and crack the TYC's and see what I can do. I bought them at the dealer too the first day they came out and they were expensive. Yeah $200 is mad cheap.

 

wjere are you getting the TYC's for 200.. did i miss something? i would buy them right now for that price.. someone let em know if there is a place that sells them for a cheaper price.. thanks
