Quick question trying to replace tail lights. Production date says 11/06 but from my understanding 05-10 had same tailights but every set I look at says for models built after 04/07, without dealer installed led taillights? New to toyota, was always a honda person so im just trying to learn more, but why if the tail lights can be swapped between years 05 and 10 is there a specific requirement on the ones I keep looking at. I'm pretty sure I have the TYCs on there now but they are super hazey and they leak somewhere cause I keep getting moisture in them.

also why if it already has the TYC tail lights would I not be able to go back to factory according to the manufacturer?

But 11 was the mid yr.
The 05-06 was one model the 07-10 has small changes
11 was a combo of 10 and 12.
Some of the wiring is different for the 11 12 and up.
But since your have 2011 mid yr. Id go with ones that say they work for 11 and 12 vs 10

why couldn't I use the ones just because a dealer installec TYCs

Will work just fine. It might be a different wiring harness. I remember readong that one had 2 plugs and other was 3 plugs.
Dont remembee the full details but just look at the wiring when buying
