Default Tail Light replacement....

Anyone have a guide to replace the whole tail light? I just noticed my '06 tC with 2300 miles has a crack in one tail light right in the middle :~(

Will probably just end up buying a replacement on ebay, but I want to know first if it's an easy swap or not. Thanks!!

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you at least have to loosen the rear bumper b/c there's a lip of the light that goes behind it on the bottom. I thought there was an install DIY here for the TYC lights that might have helped, but I couldn't find it.

you will have to either remove the rear bumper or loosen it so that the bottom lip of the tails can be removed. remove the screws on the rear bumper, then remove the screws from the bumper with the hatch open...I'm sure there's a write up on this, I don't want to mess you up w/o pics and stuff. Just realize if you dont completely remove the bumper and you just loosen it, you may bend or damage it. just take your time...and GO SLOWLY!!

I have two awsome links for you to read, socal_showdown, and when I get home today I'll post them up for you as well as answer any of your questions. 5pmish EST.

There is a DIY somwewhere as well and a downloadable shop manual for the install which I'll get us when i get off work. Links are stored on Firefox
