Tc Side Markers

im trying to get inside my side view mirrors to replace the lights. But i cant seem to find a way in, i found the manual page on this site (VERY HELPFULL!!) but i have no idea what these "claws" are. anybody got any ideas, or been able to get inside our side view mirrors?
