well i usually dont drive far but next weekend i need to drive to frisco 300 miles and i dont have a bra...i was just going to use masking tape but its a 2 day experiece for work. so i was wondering do i have to take it off when i get there or can i leave it on for both days...i wasnt sure if the sun would bake the tape or anything

 

you can leave it on. just don't use blue tape use the green stuff.

It's actually about 400 miles.

 

blue is a bit more sticky and i've seen people rip off the paint of the side mirrors with the blue. the green is an automotive grade tape so its safe for your car

 

you can always use the green as the base coat and put some cool blue graphics on top of it

I use the tape sometimes. You can also go to Pep Boys and get "Shield" by Duplicolor. It's a spray on protectant. It collects a lot of dirt, but it works, and it washes off easily.

 

I just recently went from CA to AZ this past labor day weekend, thats about 400miles, I used the blue tape starting friday night, left it on til the following monday and I did not have any problems with it sticking or anything like that, now keep in mind it was like about 118 degrees out there this past weekend. On the wrapper of the blue tape it tells you the level of stickiness(I think theres 4 levels), for the lowest it says it is safe to use on paint that is 24hrs old, the one i use is 3" and its the second level of stickiness, and like I said I had no problems with it, but either way good luck.

 

i know this will sound stupid, but it popped in my head. PLASTIC WRAP!...like the industrial kind or the ones that they use for packing. but i believe the tape will leave some adhesive after a while.

i think i should invest in some type of mask for road trips. too bad my gfx and fogs arent compatible w/ the oem bra from scion.

 

lol now were base coating paint. Then you can finish it off with a clear packaging tape to give it a glossy look
