Default Third Brake Light does not work unless!

Unless i bang on it.

When hitting the brakes the TBL does not turn on, but when i bang on it it turns on and off.

Anybody have ideas?

I did check connections they all seem fine.

Bad voodoo...

Have you replaced it with an aftermarket one? Or is it the OE TBL?

Might be the bulb itself. There might be a loose filament inside the bulb and might be swinging around, making momentary contact.

What??? Lol it is a circuit board with LED's, not a halogen bulb. Check and see if you can make it go off and on at the connector on the back of the TBL. If that doesn't change anything, then the problem is internal, possibly a bad solder where the wires connect to the circuit board. Good luck! If it's bad and your not under warranty, it is a good excuse to get a full TBL

I had the same problem with my OEM, I replaced it with an Oznium full length and haven't had a problem since

I've been wanting to buy a full tbl, but never got to it.

Now it's the time! Haha.

Thanks.
