i think its 70%. check your laws on how dark you can go. I currently have 35% and want to go a tad darker.

Yes stock is 70%, Go with 30% all around, its a good combo of good looks and functionality, such as protecting the interior from fading, keeping the interior cooler and letting the a/c work better, without the hassel from the police!

As for Colorado, apparently you are not allowed to have anything on the side windows, so any tint will be illegal. But personally, I care more about looks than legality.

Do 35% on the windows and do 5% on the hatch. It's light enough for the cops not to hassle you but dark enough to cool down the car fairly quickly. Also with the darker hatch it will give your 35% on the windows a darker appearance.

Yes, the interior color is a huge factor. I previously had a car with a white/cream interior and I could easily see the seats and panels through the ~30% tint. With the tC's black interior, light is absorbed instead of being reflected back at your eyes. Makes a big difference in the apparent darkness of the glass.

Fredy, you have no trouble in Encino? That is where I got my tint ticket, and I've been pulled over there on many other occassions with just a warning. It was on Ventura Blvd every time.

window tint
I hate not being able to see well (like with LimoTint dark) when i wear my shades during the day or when I am driving/parking at night. So I tinted my car with 35% on the hatch and rears. The front sides have 50%. I wasn't tinting for privacy, but for looks. The tc is great at letting light in via the sunroof/rear glass roof. The lighter tint allows incoming light to mix with ,and not compete with, the light coming in from the 35 tint. This way you don't have a struggle b/w strong light via the front glass and a really dark rear window area, which got annoying (my previous car had dark tint and it's played itself out)... At night though, the tint looks darker than what it is!
