Default Transfering Windshield Washers To Another Hood

Hi,

Just installed my cf vis oem hood today and fits perfectly, now the only problem I am having now is transfering over the windshield washer to my new hood. I can not take off the washer from the stock hood and have no idea how to do it.

So you guys who have done the installation your self how did you go about removing it and installing it to the new hood.

I will post pictures tomorrow when there is light.

Thanks,
Jeremy

When you have the stock hood off, get a wide flat head screwdriver and get behind it. Have someone on the other side to help hold it when one end pops out. You will see the clips on each end of it, and just push down on them with the screwdriver, and it will pop one end out. Do that to the other and you are good to go.

Thanks Expres that work perfectly, but now problem is that the predrilled holes on the vis oem hood are not big enough for those, saw a post from someother guy who did it and said he had to shave the sides down, but does anyone else have another idea how to get it on may another one that may fit it,

Thanks
Jeremy

I'm trying to remove my washers but I need to remove the black cardboard piece under the hood which is held on by several black press in clips. Anyone know how to remove these clips holding the cardboard covering the washer lines?

there's an actual tool made to pop those things off easily if you just look in any automobile store.

otherwise a flathead screwdriver and some patience would be your other choice.

Yea I just bought one for myself. It was like 5 bucks. Makes the job alot easier and you dont have to worry about messin up the grip on the pins. Got it at and autozone.

the heatshield (the black foam thing under the hood) can be removed by using a screwdriver, and prying the plastic tabs and then pulling on the plastic tabs and it should pop out. it takes a bit of effort, but they are quite durable. i also had trouble with mine, but after a few vicious attempts, one popped out. but i guess the tool works the same, but for 5$ lol
