What exactly is the hatch/trunk light? The only lights I have are the front and rear dome lights...Does anybody have a picture of it that they can show me?

 

isnt that IN the trunk on the drivers side...

ive seen it once or twice...my system blocks it though.

 

Yeah, it's like on the left side of the trunk and it looks like an ugly white box with a tiny switch, kinda hidden unless you really look for it, I totally don't use it though, lol.

 

OHH I found it! haha I thought it was a light on the hatch that lights up when you open the hatch...

 

it does light up when you open the hatch, but it kinda sucks(real dim) that's y I put some cold cathodes in back there

I wired them into the stock light so they come on when the hatch opens, but i can also manually turn them off

 

Hmm I swear when i open my hatch the light doesn't come on. Sometimes when it's pitch dark out and I need stuff from my trunk I can't see anything, and I have to feel around my trunk for stuff.

 

There's a switch on the light, by default its off

I know because it threw me off the first time I opened my hatch at night to show someone

 

Is there a way to make the trunk light come on when the hatch is opened?

 

Turn it on. It'll go off when you close the hatch.
