Okay, so I have been getting lots of e-mails from people asking me how to remove the 3rd brake light, so I took some pics when I modded the 3rd brake light for a customer.
Enjoy!

DISCLAIMER: Do this at your own risk! These are the steps I have taken to successfully remove the 3rd brake light. If you damage your car, it's your own fault. If you are not comfortable of capable of doing this yourself, send it to a professional!
Remove 2 phillips screws - 1 on either side of the hatch panel.

Remove the hatch panel. Pull down on the handles on either side. You may have to pull hard as the clips are strong.

Unplug the harnesses for the 3rd brake light and the license plate lights. Shown in red.

Remove 8 10mm bolts shown in red.

Remove 2 metal brackets holding the 3rd brake light in.

Carefully remove the trunk trim on the outside. Don't scratch the paint.

Remove the 3rd brake light from the outside of the car. It will be necessary to tear the foam seal behind the lens. This can be replaced with a 3M double sided foam tape when you put the 3rd brake light back on.

Now you can mod the 3rd brake light, or ship to me to mod for you!
Enjoy!

Can you make it looks like the knight rider light ? There's a link on here to youtube.com about it. Oh, here it is http://youtube.com/watch?v=YoLIvGmxYJU&search=scion . I love to see it in my 3rd brake light.

No problem!
I can do the knight rider mod. I have a few more customers coming this weekend getting their tc's modded. I'll see if anyone wants a knight rider light, and I'll post pics and videos.
