Default VRD Fog question

Has anyone baked open their VRD Fogs?? I dont have the fender liners on my tC so my passenger side fog got filled with dirt and water and looks like crap. If anyone has done this, let me know what temp you set it at and for howw long... Or would it be safer just to use a heatgun?

if it fogs, isnt there those little port holes on the side or top that are used to vent on the back of the fogs?

yea there are little vents on them but im thinking thats the way the water and crap came in... I'm probably just going to go with the heatgun method cause I'm afraid that if I pop them in the oven, the housing will melt. But if anyone has done this, chime in with your results!

Heatgun is fastest method, but also more dangerous if you let the heat concentrate too long.... also bad cuz then your other areas cool off and harden, but the adhesive amount isn't a lot so you're fine with the gun.

I used oven, 250 @ 6 minutes. pre-heated of course. like I said, easy to work with cuz of the cheap amount of adhesives used.

so you baked open the fogs before? I researched a little and was going to pop them in the oven today at 250 for about 8 minutes or so.. i'll update the post with my results... i wish i still had my cracked fog so i could use it as a test dummy..

so i ended up baking the fogs... put them in the over for about 8-10mins at 250... passengerside lens came off really really easy, but it was harder with the driverside fog and i ended up busting the lens.. i guess the glue hardened just enough when i was working the the passenger side one.

i should of put one fog in at a time instead of both at the same time. keep that in mind when wanting to open up the fogs.. now im in need of a driver side fog housing so i can open it up and finish what i had in mind. anyone got one??
