Default Warantee Issue on Factory Spoiler.

Ive noticed all along that there were two identical blemishes/scuff marks on the spoiler, but recently its been getting worse. So i decided to take it in today but no manager was there to verify anything. They told me a manager will be there tomorrow to look at the damage and decide the proper actions. I want them to replace it, but i will have to wait and see what they say tomorrow morning. I will post pictures later. Has anybody else had any kind of problem like this?

Hard to see because outside lighting conditions but...

In one spot it actually went down past the clear coat to the paint. I just dont like looking at it now. The damager is about the size of a quarter, and is identical on the other side. :?

So any idea what it's from and why it would be a warranty thing? I mean, if something hit it, it's not really warranty. But I just can't think of anything that would do that...

Ive noticed it before, but its only recently started to discolor. Before i just didnt want to seem picky/annoying about something stupid, but the discoloration now makes it stand out. Im thinking maybe it was something along the lines that happened in the shippin of the car??? I dont know.

Well they had a body shop come by this morning to look at the damage. The bodyshop guy said, "It was caused by a outside source." So the dealership wont cover it under waranty. My car sits outside, so no chance it was lifted and hit anything, and its covered at night. Its just a little weird because the marks are perfectly symetrical <sp?> to eachother. Also the paint on the back side of the spoiler looks like its fairly thin. If anybody knows, what would it look like if i took off the spoiler? Would it leave any holes behind?

yes, there would be holes unfortunately You could more than likely find some plugs/caps though... Maybe find someone to swap hatches with?

Do you know if say a Lip Spoiler would cover the holes, or are they to far forward? I will probably just eventually get it repainted.
