Ok this is a silly question, but how long should I wait to wash my car after painting my calipers with the duplicolor kit. I know the box says it takes 24 hours to fully cure.
I use the autodry car washer.
Yes I know I should have washed the entire car not just the calipers befere I started.

When did you paint your calipers? Wait 2 days then wash. All you really have to do is wait until the paint COMPLETELY dries.

 

Well I finished the fronts today 24th. I'll do the rears tommarrow 25th.

 

How's the weather where you're at? If its hot, you could wash them on the 26th. If its cool (like 65 degrees and below) I'd wait until the 27th. Hope this helps you out.

 

Oh it's been perfect were i live, mid 80's with low humidity.

Its was 110 here today! You should be good to go on Mon.

 

Hopefully you prepped and painted well and didnt use all the paint. Ever after months they can still easily chip. Just watch how much water pressure youre using when washing in that area. If you did a really good job of prepping and coating then you should be able to use high pressures in that area with no problem. Good luck!

 

just make sure you dont use that eagle one all in one wheel cleaner... it ate my paint away on the calipers.. turned it to a faded red lol.

Well I would wash after a day. How long did you wait to move your car. I waited about one day, but my car was in 110 plus weather. So I think it dried.
