Rick aka Raamaudio has done extensive weight reduction on his tC including removing the glass roof and replacing it with a CF/Kevlar panel like used in the Toyota Celibrity Race tCs.

depends on how crazy you wanna get.

Carbon Fiber Hoods
Carbon Fiber Trunks
Lightweight wheels
Removal of Air Conditioning Unit
Stripped Interior
Check out companies like Seibon that make CF fenders, front bumpers, Rear Bumpers etc.

But IMO it's not necessary. Especially if it's your only car.

Ditch the spare, get a tire repair kit that'll let you limp home from small punctures, and keep your cell phone charged.

you end up lookin like that, but that is a old pic
i also have the passenger seat out and eDead installed

it helps on the track, but if its your daily driver or not looking to race
the time/effort to DRASTICALLY reduce the weight on the tC is not worth it

More power is not always a band aid for a heavy car. In many cases very light cars with low power (Radical, Ariel Atom) are often as fast if not faster than heaver more powerful cars (F430, Murcielago, etc). If road racing and handling are the primary goals, reduced weight will offer exponentially better results than more power.

i would just try to lighten the front as much as i can to make the car more balanced. our weight distrobution stock is nearly 60/40.

if you take weight from the rear, you risk running with that really screwed up weight distro. an ideal weight distribution would be something near 50/50 or 45/55 so when you brake before cornering your car will still be balanced and achieve minimal weight transfer.

cf hood,
cf fenders
battery relocation

and to make it extreme, take the weight from the top of the car (sunroof)
and make everything with ballast lower gravity.
