Default What is the best 2008 Scion TC HID conversion

I've seen so many different companies that claim to have the best, but I want to know your opinions and experiences with who you think is the best. This is for a 2008 so I have the projector style lights. What were some people talking about with a cut off on the 08 lights and the kit not fitting? I hope that I can find a good kit and I know you guys will help me. Also please add what rating you have on the bulb, i.e. 6000k, 8000k.
Thanks

go with 4300-5000k range

and from what i've read, you should modd the cut-off plate to get the 08 projectors to work nicely with your HID setup

at the most go with the 6000k, but never 8000k, it's just tooo blue

I fell inlove with the kit from Mobile HID. So far so good! I was a installer at a local shop near me for two years, when i opend this kit i was surprised, i havent seen anything like it yet. Came with switch, relays, plug and play harness.

I got 5000k and agree with ASHRAF about going higher than 6000k

and DAMN they are bright! i make shadows of cars infront of me IN their head lights!

I've heared nothing but good things about Mobile HID, and 5000K is just about the right color

how is the output with the stock 08 projectors, does it really need modding the cut-off plate?

Default Best HID lights?

Thanks guys, Do the 5000k have a bluiesh tint cause I think that the OEM for something like a lexus is 6000k, but I could be wrong. I want to have that stock look of HID lights but with a little blueish tint.

What is this cut-off plate, and why does it have to be modified? And is it a big deal to modify?

the cut-off plate is a component in the headlight that cuts the light in a straight line before approaching the projector lens, so there is no glare

4300-5000k is awesome, 6k is very good (I used to have a 6000k kit in my last car), more than that is just loosing light output to look blue-ish

I just purchased a kit from "Show Glow Lights" their brand is Euro effects. I ran into their booth at the Chicago Auto Show and bought a 8000k kit. The 8000's were way too blue but they said they would be mostly white, man they were wrong, way too blue. So I sent them back and requested 6000k. Will post pics when done. They have an e-bay store under showglowlights or something. Let me know what you think about their kit, I paid $125

I have some mtec 6000k HID's in my 08 and they look great. I think I got them for around $300, but they're top quality. I'd recommend changing the parking lights in the high beams to led, otherwise it looks kinda retarded. The cutoff in mine has been more than acceptable, unmodified...

I have Mobile HID in my 08 6000k and they are very bright.........clean line cutoff.........not as good as a HID projector can make, but good enough not to worry about for me.........no glare in oncoming traffic, and the quality of the kit is incredable........if I were to buy another set of bulbs I would go 5000k,just because the 6000k are a bit blue and hard to match high beams or fogs to color wise without going HID in them as well..........
