Default What Bodykit will work with Vertical Doors?

I have Vertical Doors, Inc. vertical doors on me and my twins' tC's and we were going to do body kits within the next few months. I wanted the AIT body kit and my brother wanted the rado body kit but I heard that the Rado won't fit. Will the AIT body kit with vertical doors or not? Also, what bodykits will work with the vertical doors? Let me know. Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but I thought all body kits worked with VD, since the hinges are under the fender they should open without problem so you and your brother could get both bodykits and should have no problem.

All bodykits should fit with lambo doors. One thing you might have to do is readjust the degrees so the door and/or hinge don't hit your front fender. I'm not sayin all bodykits will fit but they should IMO so don't hold me to that.

Didn't know there was a guy sellin'em for $400 are they any good? lol If so then I might buy a set off of him when I get the cash $400 is alot better than $900 lol. But anyways like I said earlier lambos SHOULD and I say this very lightly SHOULD work with all kits. I haven't looked at the rado kit all that much, too flashy/ricer for me but unless it changes the fenders, or the sideskirts raise so the door can't move up then your lambos shouldnt have a problem openin up. If I was you I would call the company that sells the kit and ask they're TECH Support they would know better than anyone.

Thomas

P.S. what's that guys name thats sellin the lambos?

i dont know the name of the guy selling the lambo doors. i can give you the link. the rado kit does come with new fenders for the front and the back, new sideskirts, front and rear bumper and the ait does the same thing. hmmm, i guess will call when it's time to buy...

If the fender style changes then the hinge or the door might hit it. Like if the fender gets wider as it looks like it does with the rado kit then when the door slides up it might hit the fender causin a nasty accident. Thats why its always better to check before u buy. wish I would've before I bought my xenons. I didn't know I'd need aftermarket harnesses now I'm trying to find some.

i agree with the last comment the hinges are underneath the fender...all you need too see is if the door touches the front fenders at maximum height...otherwise get whatever you want the rear dosnt matter the skirts dont matter and the front sure as hell dont matter

Patrick from AIT Racing could not confirm that lambo doors would work with their kit. He wanted to charge me $300 to put my stock hinges back on if there was a problem.

However, I tend to think they'll work ok. I know one guy with the GTC widebody kit and the lambos work fine with that.

Nice tC. They work with that kit yea but what about the Rado and the AIT? Or all the other kits for that matter? lol I think the best thing to do is ask before you order the kit that way you don't spend money for something you can't use.

i'd just suggest you buy what you trust and assume some vendors are full of $#!+ when it comes to selling real products.

well, i am really interested in the AIT and my bro is in the Rado, i think it will look good. i guess i will call these companies and ask them. also, would a body shop be able to make the fender a custom job so that vertical doors will work with it?

For a hefty lil sum I'm sure they would but make sure that they'll replace it if they mess it up.

Haha... One the AIT doesnt replace the fenders,... it has pieces that go onto the fender.... So the VD should work...

As for the Rado, I looked at It sticks out wider but its not open. You could cut it open but then it will look kind of funny.

And thats just the fender flares molded in..... So once again stock fender.....

You have to roll or cut the fenders to get that extra 1/2" clearance for the bracket.

But honestly the best VD kit is.... www.lsd-doors.com <---They are crash tested
