if your not experienced with it, it will look pretty bad.
whole vinyl wraps are extremely time consuming and very hard to do.

Not to mention that the textured vinyl doesn't generally stretch well and makes wrapping curves a serious pain.

I have seen some posts on other forums where people clear coat the 3m di-noc and it looks real good, gives it some depth.

If I was going to do this to my car I would choose to do a single color Storm Trooper white in satin. The people around here charge 2-3K but these guys print their own vinyl for advertisements I just want a solid color no graphics.

If you have never done anything like this before I wouldn't try it, there are alot of things that can go wrong. I've been doing wraps for a few years now and it is something you have to learn over time.

-do you need to change your registration since the car is technically a new color?

I've seen Don (think he is/was on SL) has done a lot with the Di-Noc on the BMW forums and it actually looks pretty good, stretches and is more of the dry-carbon look. The texture looks good, haven't seen it in person but he does a good job. You can buy from him and it's not that expensive, seen it on eBay also.

Definitely don't do the whole car, tacky. hood, trunk mirrors, stuff like that. Would like to do something for my SW but don't think I'd do CF, although they do have White CF, want to do something to cover the hideous Scion paint on my hood, could always get it resprayed I guess.

Would it be cheaper to just get the car repainted?

I like how the one in the video came out though.

nope, way more to get it painted. If you want something temporary that you can take off when you get bored of it go with a wrap. if you were talking about a whole car it would probably be cheaper to paint because a good full wrap can be a few $g's.

i had matte black vinyl on most of my tc not too long ago. it's not that hard, just time consuming. be careful taking it off cause it could hurt the very cheap paint. it happened to me on the hood. good thing i was painting the whole car anyway.

and if you have the pedestal spoiler, it sucks major *****

in florida if you change the color of your car you will get ticketed unless it says so on your registration.

I think it looks cool, finally something unique! Im sick and tired of seeing so many look alike tc's on here, seems everyone follows the same fads. Who cares if isnt real c/f ? I bet it last longer than paint or cf ever will, and it protects ur car at the same time.. People on here jus dont like seeing new stuff, they arent ready for a change
