Default Wide Body Questions

Hey guys, hoping you could help me out.

I am wondering if any of you that have the obsidian kit have pictures of your body work being done.

I essentially want to know up to what point you cut out your stock fenders to but the wide body fenders.

Cause if I understand right, where the stock fender sat, that basicaly becomes part of the wheel well now.

Just wondering what the cuts look like and how they are finished before the wide body fenders are put on.

Thanks for any info, oh and if you dont have the obsidian kit but you have another wide body, if you could post your expieriences

it was my impression the flares went over the fenders... and then you rivet or mold them on top. not cut into the fenders and them mount them flush. I had the kit in my possession once and thats what it looked like

hmmm, well you need bigger wheels right? to fit the wheel wells so it looks nice and not way way tucked.

If adding the flares and then your wheels, wouldnt the wheel be rubbing on the existing stock fender where it passes through?

ok the red represents the new wide body fender

the yellow arrow is where the stock fender is and say you get new wheels you know with big ol' lips and whatnot to fill that space in to meet or be flush with the new fendersince the wheel is passing further outward, the stock fender part would be right over the tire, and say you hit dips and speed bumps or whatever wouldnt you rub the top of your tire on the stock fender location??

Its not necessary but its most likely suggested. Like ScionJon said, if you want bigger wheels to look nicer with the kit your gonna probably want to cut the fenders.
