Default Window Bezel Paint Fail

Ive been searching the forums for my particular problem but I cant seem to find it. The small windows just aft of the doors have a hard rubber frame. Like most Tc's the paint/varnish on it is coming of and it looks horrible. What do most people do to remedy that? Also what words should i use to search for it bc i know there must be 1000 threads on just this problem.

You could try a trim detailer/dressing from Mothers or Meguiars or you could get a rattle can of trim paint.

^^ something like that might work...I've always been pleased with the quality of Meguiars or Mother's in the past. You just have to be careful and wipe off any access product when you're done with the trim. If you leave that on, then you can get an oily base that with the heat of the sun, can sometimes get onto the vehicle's painted finish. Doesn't hurt it, it just doesn't look good. I'm sure there are other good products out there, but I've used the two mentioned in the above post for years with good results.

I wouldn't recommend the "rattle can of trim paint".... unless you have trim damage that is more than it just being faded from oxidation from UV rays from the sun. As in, pieces of it "flaking" off, etc. Then if you go that route, I'd suggest laying down a few coats of clear once the base trim paint has properly dried/cured.
