What up yall. I have have an 06 tc and this morning i turned to windshield wipers on to push off some snow and noticed once all the snow was removed that the wipers didn't go back to the lower position. All the snow was removed so there was nothing blocking them,I know there is 2 different positions, but was just wondering how to get it back down so the wipers cant be seen from inside the car. Figured i'd hit up the forums before looking in the manual. Thanks in advance.

 

i had the same problem last year, just pull it down and it should go back into place

 

Mine have been in the up position since I got the car, and I can't seem to pull them down. How hard do you have to pull? because it feels like I'm going to break something.

 

^^you have to pull or push pretty hard.

 

same thing happened when i was washing my car, i had my wipers pulled out and opened my hood, that caused them to move higher in position

just pull them down hard enough and it'll go back to the original position, no need to get nervous about it

 

what do you mean by up? like the right wiper sticking out awkwardly? I thought that was the norm.

do you have pics of the wipers in the "up" position?

he means they sit higher up on the window, it is a safety feature so if ice builds up it wont break the motor or the wipers themselves. Normal should be below the lower black part of the window, if they are in the high position they will be in the clear part.

 

this is what i meant when i said that i had my wipers pulled out and opened the hood, it moved the wipers to a higher position
