Wireless remote
Hi there I own a 2008 scion tc. I went out to my car the other day an the power locks decided to stop working with the key. I took it to the dealerand they can't figure it out. They tried a new battery and tried to reprogram it and it wouldn't even go into the programming mode. Its weird because it happened all of the sudden. I don't live near any high voltage lines and have had the car for 5 months and never had a problem. The panic button on the remote makes the alarm go off so its registering that but, if you hit the locks with the key nothing happens. Also when you hit the power locks on the inside of the car they work. Any ideas let me know. Thanks

the car won't lock with the keyless if a door is still open (which includes the hatch)
if the dealership can't reprogram it or figure it out, then you got other issues to worry about.

took it to the dealer again today. I'll let you guys know today what they say. I told them to try a different ky and they said that they did that last time it was there so i have no idea what it could be. And all of the door switches work cuz the dome lights go on and off as you shut and open the door.
so i talked to the dealership again and they forgot that the car was there!!! They are the biggest idiots i've ever dealt with. Anyway i have avic n1 in there and they are trying to blame it on that so i had to drive another 40 mins to the dealership and take it out in the parking lot. After it was out it still didn't work like i told them. Turns out the chim stays on when the key is out. He said that the car thinks that the key is still in the car even though its not and somehow that has something to do with the radio i dunno. So far i have gone 40 miles each way u and back 3 times with 2 different cars so i had a ride home and they are still threatening to charge me incase its not under warranty cuz they are incapable of fixing cars. Its funny when i bought the cars they bragged about how they were the #1 service department as a selling point but i have no idea how. Anyone have any ideas let me know i'm about to go there and fix it myself.
so i got a call from my dealer and they fixedit. Theres a white tab on the ignition cylinder that moved so they moved it back and it worked. And for all my time and $100 in gas this week i got an oil change added to my extended warranty woo hoo. thanks guys
